This section should summarize the relationship between healthcare policy and advanced nursing practice. It must include:
A clear explanation of how healthcare policies affect the nursing profession.
A rationale for why advocacy is an essential part of an advanced practice nurse’s (APN) responsibilities.
The broader effects of healthcare policy on population health outcomes.
This part should introduce the chosen healthcare concern and outline strategies for addressing it. Key components include:
A comprehensive description of the healthcare concern.
The influence of this concern on the affected community or population group.
A detailed explanation of the proposed resolution.
A clear reference to the PowerPoint slides prepared for the elected official.
This section should provide an in-depth account of the advocacy meeting. It must contain:
The official’s name and position.
The rationale for choosing this particular official.

Speaker’s notes are required for all content slides.
At least five peer-reviewed scholarly references should be included (course textbooks and .com sources are not acceptable).
References must be recent (within 5 years), unless otherwise approved.
